Summer Fair in Semily
The Summer Officially Begins

This weekend I visited my grandma and part of my family in Semily. That’s a city near mountains on the north of the Czech Republic. We went there because of a fair that was taking a place that weekend. It was also right after the school end – everyone ends the last day of June. So I expected it will be huge.
It was always a big thing. I met all my friends there and I spent some time with my cousin Vítek. He’s a bit older than I am and thanks him I know all his cute friends – not bad haha. Usually we spent hours walking around the fair and taking some scary amusement rides. Okay not exactly. I was watching them from the ground cuz I’m just so scared. But they had always a lot of fun. We bought candy cotton – it’s a traditional “food” on fairs. And we were just enjoying ourselves. We were also drinking a bit but no one was too drunk to be sick. It was always fun evening.
This year it wasn’t quite like that. It could be me or them idk. They were also drinking but I didn’t want to. Their (not all of them) talks were lame. One girl was telling me how she was stealing in some store – wtf? Is she really that stupid? - she stole things that are really cheap and she could easily pay for them (cream, nail polish…). She was just stupid. I wonder why some of my friends like here.
But it wasn’t bad all the time. I saw my friends after so long time. It was really nice. I gave all of them some keychain or some souvenir and they were so happy. I also spent a lot time with my grandma. She is so sweet. She is little and she always tries to make me happy, she cooks whatever I want, she runs around the house and garden and never stops. She is just so lovely. I know she was really happy I visited her.
And one of the better parts was the food I ate. I ate a lot! I had kebab, pizza, svíčková (that’s a vegetable/cream sauce with dumplings and meat), and I also made burgers. I was just eating the whole weekend haha.

Later Y’all! XOXO
